No more after five, part 1 : Belajar di Swedia

Hi!

It's been one heck of a rollercoaster journey since I arrived in Sweden to study. Since the journey is so challenging yet exciting at the same time, I don't even know where to start to write about my story as an international student here. Since this information might be more helpful for you, my fellow Indonesian, who wants to study abroad (especially in Sweden), I am gonna write in Bahasa this time (this is time for you to learn Bahasa Indonesia, my dear fellow Chalmerists :p).

Oke!

Kenapa Swedia?

Oh ya, kalau ditanya. Kenapa Swedia sih? Well sebenarnya kalau saya pribadi sih memilih negara yang nggak banyak orang Indonesia-nya, trus bahasa pertamanya bukan bahasa Inggris, tapi orang-orangnya bisa bahasa Inggris. Kenapa?

So far boring ya? YA!

Growing Up with The Delusional Giants

I am writing this blogpost without any specific intention as in : I am not hoping for any kind of sympathy, help, or anything, since now I am doing just fine. I just feel like writing is one of numbers of ways to express and to let go of things. However, as usual, you are always welcome to drop a comment or question if you want to. Here is a blog about how it feels like to grow up feeling small at most times. Yes, I am tiny in size. I won't deny the truth that I can still fit in my junior high school uniform last time I tried it during summer break (my fellow Indonesians : what I mean is that legendary plaid Tarakanita uniform hehehe). *** If you happen to know me during my childhood until high school, I would guess that you might noticed that other than being tiny, I am different in one other prominent thing : skin. I am fortunate enough to be healthy at most times, but I have severe allergies on my skin which makes it easily hurt by just insect bites or accidental...

Should I give up Instagram

It is day 64 of 2018.  What it means to me that it has been almost three months since I woke up in my bed, thinking about what and where will I be this year. I was looking at my window with deep thoughts. Two lights across the street were faulty, while one was ready to follow. Today I was having such a good time with my boyfriend and my closest friends in Gothenburg. I tried to reflect what I have seen in the past 63 days and how just one thing changed my life. The first day of 2018 , I have made a promise to myself to at least try to start quitting lousy habit - in my case, it was Instagram. Many of you have asked me, why did I deactivate my account. Some of you even said you missed the whole Swedish Journey that I have shared. Some of you also wondered if something terrible happened to me, so I had to deactivate my account. I was very active before. I shared everything, for the sake of starting a conversation with friends, or just for the convenience of "backup...

Oseng Tempe Bali - Indonesian Delicacy Recipe Part 1!

Hello everyone! One of my favourite thing about studying at Chalmers is the international environment where I get to meet lots of people from around the world and of course - to try new delicious food from lots of places! Since my friends and I have been having lots and lots of international dinners, I learned a lot about Indonesian dishes here. Before, I actually never knew how to make them (in Indonesia we have the tendency to buy food at restaurants or food stalls because it is so cheap and it saves lots of time). Now that I learned to cook some of the dishes, I actually feel like I respect more and I couldn't be more proud that we have lots of good food with such interesting way of cooking! During the latest international dinner(s) I had with my close friends, I cooked Oseng Tempe Bali and Klepon. It was a surprise that everyone liked it! Therefore, I would like to share the recipe of Oseng Tempe Bali and Klepon that I made here. Of course, they did not taste 100% the sa...
